A real highlight in autumn
Halloween is especially celebrated on a large scale in the USA. As A highlight of autumnOn October 31st, ghosts, witches and mythical creatures fill the streets, going from door to door and chanting 'Trick or treat'.
The festival has its origins in the 5th century BC. Even the Celts celebrated Halloween, they called it Samhain, which means the end of summer. Since the Celts only had summer and winter, they celebrated at that time the transition into winter and the final hours of the harvest season. They believed that at this time the gates to the world of the dead were open. Therefore they cooked plentifully and celebrated for their deceased loved ones. That is the origin of the night of the living dead.
It's still creepy today
