Crafts: Jersey Swap
What is the most important thing a true fan needs? Of course, their own jersey. Creative kids naturally design their jerseys themselves - for example with fabric markers.
Decor: Stadium Atmosphere
Football is a popular theme and, thanks to World Cups and ball-obsessed friends, most decoration accessories are already at home - from jerseys and fan scarves to dad's old football boots. Drape jerseys over the backs of chairs, place napkins, plates and cups in football designs on the tables, and put a whistle at each little football guest's place. That creates atmosphere!
Tip: Draw a pitch on a green felt cloth (available in all fabric shops) with a white textile marker - 1:0 for this great DIY tablecloth.
Games: The ball must go into the net
Set up various ball stations: goal-wall shooting, keep-it-up, can-knocking, or a soccer run. For this we need two teams made up of pairs, an area to run, and a laundry basket: A ball is placed between the bellies. Now two teams compete against each other and try to be the first to carry their balls into a laundry basket at the finish line. The team that first gets all the balls into the goal has won.
If you don't have much time to prepare, you can stock up on a football party set. That way you can celebrate like world champions and turn little guests into huge fans. Invitation cards heat up the atmosphere even before kickoff and even the food revolves around the ball. In the football quiz, the brain is trained first before heading onto the pitch. And if real medals are awarded at the end, everyone has won.
Food: For real fans
What would football be without currywurst, fries or football-shaped meatballs? Those who are very active naturally get very hungry. But the healthy sporting spirit shouldn't be left behind either: green-and-colourful salads and skewers with grapes-and-cheese or tomato-mozzarella are always good. For the sweet kick, scoop small fruit balls with an ice cream scoop, skewer them on a toothpick, dip them in white chocolate and paint a football pattern on them with dark chocolate.
