Island Games

Dance on the Palm Leaf: Cut palm leaves out of large green construction paper. Turn on upbeat music and dance in pairs on a leaf, trying not to step off. Whoever does so must be eliminated. The winner is the dancing pair that dances on the palm leaf the longest.

Orange Dance: Two children clamp an orange between their foreheads and dance to lively music without the orange falling.

Limbo: Two children each hold a wooden stick upright. A string or clothesline is stretched tightly between them. To music, the other children must dance individually under the string without touching it. In the first round it's still quite easy, because the string is tied fairly high. In each following round it is moved a little further down. Whoever touches the string has two attempts left, then must unfortunately be eliminated.
