HABA gives you cool Kids on hot days with delicious ice cream ideas
Hot days and ice cream-hungry kids
Summer is the best time of year for day-trips with the family. All the same, summer hikes, bike tours or window-shopping in the city can be very sweaty work! So a stop at the local ice-cream parlor is always a part of the itinerary. But at home, too, licking an ice cream is always a wonderful refresher between playtime in the children’s room and cavorting through the garden. A delicious alternative to store-bought ice cream is homemade treats made of fresh ingredients – and it’s half as complicated or time-consuming as most people think. With HABA’s premium silicone popsicle trays, making delectable ice cream is child’s play. The whole family will enjoy creating yoghurt or fruit juice popsicles, perhaps even creating totally new flavors. The best part is when everyone sits down together to enjoy a refreshing fruit popsicle dream or a fantastic frozen yogurt with sprinkles.
From simple fruit juice to delightful kid’s cocktail
When children are at play, things can get pretty heated, and they simply forget to drink. Of course, their favorite thirst-quenchers, fruit juices, fruity teas or mineral water, are at hand, but they’re just too busy with other things. We have come up with a few tricks to keep children coming back to fill their cups between building with blocks, splashing in the kiddie pool or playing dolls. One of them is our silicone ice cube trays where you can easily make ice ‘cubes’ in entertaining forms like a penguin, whale or shark. Another tasty trick is to fill the trays with delicious fruit juices instead of water, adding extra zing, and it looks nicer, too! Fill a cup with colorful ice figures; add your child’s favorite juice and our novel children’s drinking straw. Garnish the cup with strawberries, pineapple or other fruits and voilá; your kid’s cocktail is ready to serve!
