Themed party time!
Invitation to everyone Princesses, Cowboys, Elves, Harry Potters … to the big Theme party! Send your friends a funny invitation card and ask them to bring a treat for the cold buffet. Also write on the invitation that they should dress up really well, because at the end of the party the best costume will be awarded.
Before the party starts, the birthday preparations begin. When the colorful decorations of streamers, balloons and crepe paper are hanging, a table for the cold buffet is set up and cheerfully decorated.
When the guests arrive, they are warmly welcomed and a little later games can be played together. In all games, the emphasis should be less on personal ambition and winning and more on the group experience and the shared enjoyment.
Little gifts: It has become customary at birthdays to award prizes and rewards for games and competitions. A small bag is prepared for each child. It is labeled with a name. During the birthday party all winnings, prizes and sweets can be quickly put away. The prizes should be only small items that cost little or nothing, perhaps collected throughout the year.
Refreshments: Food should not play the main role. Still, the rule applies here: playing makes you hungry. The birthday child's favorite dish should be considered where possible. For many birthday children and their guests it will be appealing to creatively design the menu together.
