A real highlight in autumn

Especially in the USA, Halloween is celebrated on a large scale. As the highlight of autumn on October 31st, ghosts, witches and mythical creatures roam the streets, going from door to door and chanting "Trick or treat".

The festival has its origins in the 5th century BC. Even the Celts celebrated Halloween, they called it Samhain, which means end of summer. Since the Celts only had summer and winter, they celebrated at this time the transition into winter and the last hour of the harvest season. They believed that at this time the gates to the world of the dead were open were open. Therefore they cooked abundantly and celebrated for their deceased loved ones. This is the origin of the night of the living dead.
