1. Bunny-shaped pancakes

Ingredients needed:

  • 3 eggs

  • 115 g flour

  • 140 ml milk

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • some butter for the pan

  • fruit and other treats of your choice

Preparation:

  1. First separate the egg whites from the yolks.

  2. Put the egg whites together with the salt into a bowl and beat them until stiff.

  3. Put the yolks together with the baking powder and flour into another bowl and stir them with the milk into a smooth batter.

  4. Now fold the beaten egg whites into the batter.

  5. Put some butter in a pan and heat it.

  6. Now pour a large ladleful of batter into the pan for the bunny's body and let it cook until golden brown.

  7. Then add another ladleful of batter to the pan, this time a bit smaller – that will be the bunny's head.

  8. Next come two small pancakes for the feet and two elongated pancakes for the bunny ears.

  9. When all the pancakes are golden brown, you can assemble them on a plate into an Easter bunny.

  10. Spread your bunny-shaped pancakes with syrup, hazelnut spread, or other sweet toppings and top them with some fruit as you like. Enjoy!

2. Hard-boiled Easter eggs

Required ingredients:

  • Eggs

  • Pot

  • warm water

Preparation:

  1. First, place the eggs you want to eat in a pot.

  2. Now pour some warm tap water into the pot so the eggs are covered.

  3. Put the pot on the stove and bring the water with the eggs to a boil.

  4. Let your eggs cook for about ten minutes.

  5. After cooking, cool the hard-boiled eggs under cold running water.

  6. Now you can dye your eggs or eat them immediately.

3. Yeast dough Easter bunnies

Required ingredients:

For the yeast dough:

  • 500 g wheat flour

  • 1 pkt. dry yeast

  • 100 g sugar

  • pkg. vanilla sugar

  • 1 bottle butter-vanilla flavoring

  • 1 pinch salt

  • 250 ml milk

  • 7 tbsp oil

For brushing and decorating

  • 1 tsp milk

  • 2 tsp pearl sugar

  • Almonds, halved

  • 1 egg yolk

Preparation:

  1. First put the flour and dry yeast into a bowl. Mix the two ingredients and add the rest to knead everything into a smooth dough.

  2. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has visibly increased in size.

  3. When the dough has risen well, knead it again on a floured work surface.

  4. Then shape the dough into a roll and divide it into four equally sized pieces.

  5. Preheat the oven to about 180°C (conventional heat).

  6. Roll out each of the four pieces and shape it into a bunny. You can also use cookie cutters for this.

  7. When you have shaped your bunnies, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush them with a mixture of one egg yolk and one teaspoon of milk so they turn nice and golden brown when baked.

  8. Decorate your yeast dough bunnies with pearl sugar and give them little eyes using halved almonds.

  9. Now the bunnies go into the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.

  10. Your yeast dough Easter bunnies are ready. Enjoy!

4. Bake wild garlic bread

Required ingredients:

  • 1 bunch wild garlic

  • 500 g flour

  • 1 pkt. dry yeast

  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 50 ml olive oil

  • 300 ml lukewarm water

Preparation:

  1. First put flour, dry yeast, salt, olive oil, lukewarm water and sugar if desired into a bowl. Knead everything into a smooth dough and let it rise covered with a cloth for 30 minutes.

  2. In the meantime, finely chop the wild garlic.

  3. When the dough has risen well, add the finely chopped wild garlic to the bowl and knead it in.

  4. Now shape your dough into two small loaves or one large loaf.

  5. Place the loaves on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let the dough rise again, covered, for 30 minutes.

  6. Preheat the oven to 200°C (conventional heat) (180°C fan). After the bread dough has risen, bake it for about 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown and then let it cool on a wire rack.

  7. Your homemade wild garlic bread for the Easter table is ready. A delicious Easter recipe for children — enjoy!

5. Cake pralines

Required ingredients: 

  • 100 g butter

  • 75 g sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 100 g flour

  • ½ packet baking powder

  • CakeMelts icing: pink, red, white, green or purple (647420)

Materials needed:

  • Mold

Preparation:

  1. Beat butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy.

  2. Mix flour and baking powder, sieve and fold in (optionally refine with almond pieces or chocolate flakes).

  3. Fill into a silicone mold and bake at 150°C (fan) for about 10 minutes.

  4. Let the pralines cool.

  5. Melt the icing, pour it into the silicone mold and immerse the cake pralines in it.
