Story: Unicorn Glitter Joy - The Rainbow Picnic
The bright morning sun shines through the window and tickles the unicorn Glitzerglück's nostrils. "What a glorious day! What do you think about having a picnic in the Cloud Garden?" Glitzerglück asks the little rabbit Finni and her friends Sternenstaub, Wunderblume and Zauberwirbel.
"Great idea!" says Wunderblume enthusiastically. "The muffins are already done, we just need to decorate them." "I'll help you," Finni offers. "And I'll fetch the picnic blanket!" neighs Zauberwirbel and rushes off so fast that her hooves spark.
A little later the four unicorns and the rabbit Finni stand in the garden with a fully packed basket and the picnic blanket. The nicest spot is under the big cherry tree, everyone agrees. The ripe fruits gleam in the sun and the leaves sway gently in the wind.
„Come, Glitzerglück, let's pick some cherries“, suggests Finni. Glitzerglück is happy to help the rabbit and soon the bowl is full. Wunderblume and Sternenstaub have made themselves comfortable on the picnic blanket and Zauberwirbel is already nibbling contentedly on a muffin.
Suddenly thick dark clouds roll in and move in front of the sun. Startled, the friends look up at the sky. „Oh dear, that looks like a thunderstorm!“, says Glitzerglück. „That's right!“, snorts Sternenstaub and paws restlessly with his hooves.
Then the first drops are already splashing onto the ground. „Come“, calls Wunderblume excitedly, „we must hurry back to the Cloud Castle!“ Finni jumps onto Zauberwirbel's back and holds tightly to her mane as the unicorns gallop off.
The storm is over as quickly as it came. But when the friends look at their picnic spot, they notice that of course everything has become very wet. The cherries are floating in the bowl and icing is dripping from the muffins.
Fortunately the sun peeks out from behind the clouds again and conjures a bright rainbow in the sky. „Oh, that's fantastic!“, everyone exclaims, watching as the colors of the rainbow become more and more vibrant.
The sun also makes all the raindrops in the garden sparkle. Everywhere small and large drops shine, flash and shimmer as brightly as crystals. Fascinated, the friends look around. Even the muffins glitter in the sun and look as tasty as before.
„The raindrops are just as beautiful as our cloud crystals!“, calls Glitzerglück. Happily she gallops through the garden with Sternenstaub, Wunderblume and Zauberwirbel. And Finni? The little rabbit fishes the cherries out of the bowl and gobbles them all up.
