Island Games

Dance on the Palm Leaf: Cut palm leaves out of large green construction paper. Play lively music and dance in pairs on a leaf, trying not to step off. Whoever does so is eliminated. The winning pair is the one that stays on the palm leaf the longest.

Orange Dance: Two children clamp an orange between their foreheads and dance to lively music, making sure the orange doesn't fall.

Limbo: Two children each hold a wooden pole upright. A rope or clothesline is stretched tight between them. To music, the other children must dance under the rope one by one without touching it. In the first round it's still quite easy, because the rope is tied fairly high. In each following round it is lowered a bit further. If someone touches the rope they still get two more tries; after that they unfortunately have to drop out.
