A pirate party can, with the simplest means be turned into a truly big event. A few pirate-strong tips for crafting, dressing up and playing we have put together here for you.

crafting: Aye, aye Captain

What does every true captain need? Exactly, a real pirate hat! With a pirate hat craft kit, every child can craft their own hat, and as parents you provide a great activity at any pirate party. As a keepsake. Or how about some window decals with a pirate motif? That way each child has a little keepsake after the party that they can take home.

Children love dressing up as pirates. You delight both boys and girls equally.eye patch, which you can get in any costume shop, the pirate scar, bushy eyebrows and maybe also abeard as staple components of the costume. And you don't need much at all to paint your child as a pirate! Just get black face paint, a sponge and, if necessary, a pointed makeup brush. Start with the bushy eyebrows, then add the scary scar. If your child wants it, then you also draw for them with strong black strokes an messy beard – and that's the pirate face paint!

Everything at a glance: plates, cups, flags – with this party set little pirates' hearts will beat faster. On the tables and the buffet, sand and shells bring a pirate-island feeling straight into your home or into the garden. Little pirate figures, pirate swords and hook hands here and there peeking out of pretzel sticks, the little treasure hunters even find something to play with and discover in the most unusual corners.

Reading maps and finding treasures, the big adventure of every seafarer. With a treasure hunt every little pirate, whether boy or girl, really gets into the seafaring spirit. Simply from the home or the garden a small map and mark with a cross where treasures could be hiding. For the treasure, spray small stones with gold paint and distribute them. All pirates set out and whoever finds a gold coin can exchange it for sweets or a pirate tattoo set.

Food: Fill the ship's belly

A treasure hunt sure makes you hungry! So that pirates can continue sailing well-fed and moms and dads don't have to prepare too much, we have a sea-worthy idea here: Pirate pizza – what else? This way every child gets what they like, but visually a build-your-own pizza tray plenty of room for creative ideas. Top the pizzas as usual and sprinkle with cheese. Use pizza dough and colorful vegetables to lay out a treasure map, or model small skulls and place them on top. Bake. Pirate-licious!

Of course the guest pirates want to know beforehand where the party should take place. With Invitation cards and boarding passes in business-card format, the birthday captain lures every sailor to the birthday island.
