Every change begins with a first step, followed by many others. The goal of our journey, on which we move step by step, is greater sustainability in all areas of our thinking and actions.
Durable and meant to be passed on – sustainability you can touch
From the very start of product development, our designers give careful consideration to the appearance and play features a product must have so that it brings children long-lasting enjoyment and can be passed on to the next generations.
And because, particularly with games, the absence of part of the play materials means the whole game can no longer be used, several years ago we established an extensive Spare parts service established.
Responsibility at HABA – a top priority in all areas of daily activity
This clear expectation requires that we take responsibility for our corporate actions – and we do so in the areas of ecology, economy and social issues.
Responsibility is more than a word for HABA. It is reflected in everything we do – and has been so for more than 80 years. Today the HABA-Familygroup led in the third generation – and the small family business of back then has grown into a modern, internationally active family company. With its headquarters in Bad Rodach, the company family brings several brands together under one roof, including HABA and HABA Pro – two original company brands and a few others. Much has changed over the past decades, but a sense of tradition and responsibility has remained and is passed down within the founding family from generation to generation.
For more than 85 years now, HABA has been accompanying children on their way into and through life – with games and toys that challenge, promote, and above all bring great joy. For children and their families we develop and produce high-quality products – environmentally, energy- and resource-friendly in all phases of the value chain. We achieve this on the one hand through highly efficient processes and production methods and on the other through highly motivated employees in whose thinking and actions the commitment to quality is also firmly anchored. In particular, the protection of natural resources, the long-term safeguarding of jobs, active environmental protection and careful data protection are very important to us. This is our understanding of social responsibility, which we are happy to embrace.

Family-friendliness:
At the heart of HABA's corporate philosophy and of the whole Familygroup are children and their families. That is why it is particularly important for us to support our employees in balancing work and family life. In recognition of our commitment to family-friendly personnel policies, we have been awarded the "audit berufundfamilie" certificate since 2003.
Data protection:
Within the HABA-Familygroup, data protection is of great importance: the legality of all data processing activities is continuously monitored and data storage is documented. Further information on this topic is set out in our privacy policy.
Safety:
Our products, in terms of materials and workmanship, comply with all European and national regulations for toy safety and meet US standards.
Environmental and Energy Management:
Two areas where our understanding of sustainability is clearly reflected. Our environmental management system is certified to the standard ISO 14001:2015. We continuously analyse the influences and impacts our company has on the environment and identify opportunities for improvement that we implement step by step. In addition, we have an energy management system certified to the standard ISO 50001:2018 is certified. With this we aim to increase the energy efficiency of the HABA group of companies and optimise on-site energy use.

We meet the nationally and internationally recognised quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, which forms the basis for our in-house continuous improvement process. This enables us to continually improve the quality of our products and services for our customers.
