Our responsibility

We are aware of our corporate responsibility to Respect for human and environmental rights aware of this and have anchored them in our code of conduct. We commit to respecting these rights in our own company and in our supply chains and to provide access to remedy for those affected by human rights and environmental violations. We make no compromises on the fundamental requirements for safety and human rights.
Statement of principles
Complaint procedure
We place the greatest importance on the satisfaction of our customers, business partners and employees. Therefore we have introduced a professional complaint management, to identify violations and grievances regarding human rights and environmental risks and violations early and responsibly and to take appropriate preventive and remedial measures.
The grievance mechanism is open to everyone and enables customers, business partners, employees or other persons to point out human rights and/or environmental risks as well as violations of human rights-related or environmental obligations that have arisen from the economic actions of the company's own business area or a direct supplier are.
Examples of violations of human rights and/or environmental risks may include:
Child labor
Discrimination and unequal treatment of employees
Bullying
All forms of slavery
Forced labor
Disregard of the applicable occupational health and safety obligations (e.g. insufficient safety standards, lack of appropriate protective measures, inadequate training and instruction)
Withholding of adequate wages
Improper handling, collection, storage and disposal of waste
Import and export of hazardous waste
The reporting person must state when reporting whether they wish to remain anonymous. However, a contact option is required, to ask follow-up questions and to be able to inform about the status of processing. Accordingly, it is recommended that the reporting person discloses their identity. Alternatively, a contact option may be provided that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about the person's identity. Without the consent of the reporting person, no personal information or circumstances that allow conclusions about the identity may be passed on to third parties, unless they are legally obliged to do so. The identity of the affected person(s) will be treated confidentially.
To allow the report to be pursued, the notification must contain the following:
Type of the complaint or the notice
The responsible person for the misconduct (if known)
Facts, that substantiate the misconduct
The affected company
Contact of the reporting person
Complaints procedure
1. Report or complaint is received
A report or complaint is sent by email to lksg@habermaass.de reported.
2. Confirmation of receipt
The receipt of the report or complaint will be acknowledged and documented to the reporter (if the identity is disclosed) within seven working days.
3. Review & processing
The report or complaint will be reviewed by the Human Rights Officer and responsibilities for further proceedings will be determined. In the event of a rejection, the reporting person (if the identity is disclosed) will receive an explanation.
4. Feedback
At the latest after 3 months the reporting person (if the identity is disclosed) will receive feedback on planned or implemented remedial measures.
5. Review & closure
The result achieved will be evaluated together with the reporting person (if the identity is disclosed).
