For the most wonderful target group in the world, the HABA Play designers develop a multitude of adorable grasping toys from different materials year after year.
High-quality wooden grasping toys from sustainable forestry
Since the company was founded over 80 years ago, the raw material wood has played an important role in the production of our toys. And since 2010 our wooden products have borne the PEFC label, which proves that we use wood from sustainable forestry in German forests. For example, the beech wood that is the main component of many HABA Play wooden grasping toys comes from forests within a radius of 150 km around our location in Bad Rodach in Upper Franconia. And whenever we add color to our wooden toys, we use only solvent-free water-based paints and stains. So the HABA Play wooden grasping toys can also be put into little ones' mouths at any time without concern.
Cuddly soft fabric grasping toys with great play features
The HABA Play designers come up with a wide variety of fabric toys year after year and use very different materials for them, such as polyester fabrics, but also blends with cotton, soft velour and nicky fabrics or corduroy. It is precisely this different tactile feel that makes the fabric grasping toys interesting for the little ones. And acoustic effects such as bells, squeakers, rattles or crinkly film additionally provide excitement, playtime fun and variety.
Grasping toys made of plastic and silicone
Babies like to put everything in their mouths and chew on it – of course also the plastic and silicone grasping toys. Their surfaces with nubs, rings and smooth areas feel different and relax the chewing muscles. Some grasping toys have a coolable water filling and thus provide the little ones with additional relief during painful teething. Many plastic and silicone grasping toys are dishwasher-safe and therefore particularly hygienic.
