High-quality wooden grasping toys from sustainable forestry

Since the company was founded over 80 years ago, the raw material wood has played an important role in the production of our toys. And since 2010 our wooden products have borne the PEFC seal, which proves that we use wood from sustainable forestry in German forests. For example, the beech wood that is the main component of many HABA Play wooden grasping toys comes from forests within a radius of 150 km around our site in Bad Rodach in Upper Franconia. And whenever we bring colour into play with our wooden toys, we use only solvent-free water-based paints and stains. That means the HABA Play wooden grasping toys can also be safely placed in little ones' mouths at any time.

Cuddly soft fabric grasping toys with great play features

Each year the HABA Play designers create a wide range of fabric toys, using various materials such as polyester fabrics, but also blends with cotton, soft velour and nicky fabrics or corduroy. It is precisely this differing feel that makes the fabric grasping toys interesting for the little ones. And acoustic effects such as bells, squeakers, rattles or crinkle film additionally provide excitement, playtime fun and variety.

Plastic and silicone grasping toys

Babies like to put everything in their mouths and chew on it – of course this includes plastic and silicone grasping toys. Their surfaces, with nubs, rings and smooth areas, feel different to the touch and help relax the chewing muscles. Some grasping toys feature a water fill that can be cooled and so provide the little ones with additional relief during painful teething. Many plastic and silicone grasping toys are dishwasher-safe and therefore particularly hygienic.
