Rain games in April
Puddle Waltz: Form a circle around a puddle and hold hands. Now you start singing and as you do you dance around the puddle. Everyone must, by pushing and shoving, try to make the others step into the puddle. Whoever that happens to is out. Your circle will get smaller and smaller, but whoever stays dry at the end is the winner.
Rain catcher: Each person gets a cup. On command everyone races through the rain, holds their cups up and catches as much rainwater as possible. When, after a few minutes, the final whistle blows, everyone runs to shelter and then it's measured who caught the most rain.
Extinguish lights: The game only works once it has stopped raining. Find a nice big puddle and float jar lids in it in which you've placed lit tealights. Now try to extinguish the lights with water pistols. But don't forget: after playing you must clean up the puddle and its surroundings properly.
Make puddle soup: Stand in a circle around a puddle and, together, blow vigorously into it through a piece of hose until the water starts to bubble and fizz.
