In the middle of winter
In the snowy season whole new possibilities for a children's birthday party: How about, for example, a little exploration tour in the forest? When there's snow, you can discover many animal tracks and follow them for a long time. Can you tell which animals the tracks belong to?
And do you also know the different coniferous trees, that are right now in the winter forest look particularly splendid? If the birthday party should be a bit more action-packed, sledding or ice skating are great alternatives to a winter walk.
Let's go outside!
Expedition at the North Pole: Dazu braucht ihr große Pappteller oder angebohrte Holzbretter und Schnur oder Gummilitze. Die Pappteller oder Holzbretter werden an die Füße gebunden. Stellt euch nun alle in einer Reihe auf. Der Vorläufer stapft als erster eine Spur in den Schnee. Alle anderen folgen, wobei sie immer in die gleichen Löcher stapfen müssen.
Snow relay race: Two teams line up one behind the other. The first runs off with a flat plate piled high with snow, to a set point – and back again. The next takes the plate, runs off … etc. The team that first has no more snow on the plate loses.
Snow variety show: Two people gently pull a sled on which someone performs tricks: stand on one leg, do pirouettes, do a handstand … Those who are not pulling or performing are spectators and may give scores from 1 – 10 just like in a figure skating routine. Whoever achieves the highest points is the sled world champion.
