When it's time to design the room for one of your children, it's advisable that you allow yourselves enough time for the creative planning phase. Depending on how old your child is, they will probably already want to have a say. Topics such as your child's favorite color or the appropriate place for their most important cuddly toy in the new room then play a central role. Such a project is valuable for all members of the family – because you can work together, be creative and thus also enjoy wonderful family time together.
Seek advice or get active yourselves
When it comes to furnishing, there are different types. Some people like to be advised by specialists. Central questions would be, for example, how a children's room can be furnished in a child-friendly and practical way or which colors are good for health.
Other people like to get active themselves, pick up brushes and paint, or even build the child's bed themselves. Weigh up what suits you best. But always take your child along on the planning journey, because after all they will spend a lot of time in their future bedroom – therefore it should be as nice as possible there.
