Required materials:
wooden disc
banknotes of your choice
hot glue gun
double-sided tape
drill
rods
clips
accessories
ribbon
string
Tips for parents:
If you and your child have been invited to a wedding together, your child will probably enjoy helping you make the bride-and-groom gift. Some tasks should be carried out by the parents, such as drilling or using the hot glue gun.
Crafting instructions:
1. First, drill two small holes—one on the left and one on the right—into the wooden disc, and then fix the rods into them.
2. Now glue the accessories to the wooden disc with the hot glue gun. You can, for example, use small flowers.
3. Don't forget a pretty ribbon!
4. Then attach the Little Friends – Brautpaar to the wooden disc with double-sided tape.
5. Now all that's left is the string from the left rod to the right rod!
6. Finally, attach the banknotes to it! Then you and your parents will have a beautiful gift that any bride and groom will surely appreciate!
Variation: Wedding gift in a jar
Many newlyweds appreciate lovingly handmade decorations that brighten their home. You can make a wedding gift in a jar with banknotes in just a few simple steps.
For our variation you will need:
A jar of your choice, filled with a little decorative sand
An LED string of lights
Coins and banknotes of your choice (you can fold these and secure them to a string)
ribbon
1. Choose a jar that allows your HABA Little Friends bride-and-groom to sit nicely in the centre.
2. Cover the bottom of the jar with some decorative sand and coins, for example 1- and 2-euro coins.
3. Place the Little Friends bride-and-groom in the centre of the sand and make sure they stand securely.
4. Wrap the LED string of lights around the couple and switch them on. Looks lovely, doesn't it?
5. Fold as many banknotes as you like into little boats and place them around the couple.
6. Tie a colourful ribbon around the jar.
7. There you have it — your lovingly crafted wedding gift in a jar!
