Story: Unicorn Glitterluck and the Garden of Dreams
It is already late and the moon shines through the branches of the large cherry tree in the cloud garden. Everywhere it is dark, yet in the cloud castle one window is still brightly lit. Here lives the little rabbit Finni with the magic wings. He sits in bed and fiddles with his long ears. „I am not tired at all, I'll stay awake!“, he murmurs to himself the whole time. Then he has to yawn. Shortly after his eyes close and he has already fallen asleep.
But in the middle of the night Finni wakes with a start and begins to cry. He had a bad dream! Already the door opens and Wonderflower stands in his room. „What's the matter?“, she asks the little rabbit. „Such a stupid dream!“, sniffs Finni and rubs the tears from his eyes. Wonderflower sits down beside his bed and blows soothingly on his cheeks. „That will be alright“, she tries to comfort the rabbit. „No, not at all!“, Finni wails loudly to himself.
There Glitterjoy, Stardust and Magicwhirl stick their heads through the door.
„What's going on here?“, asks Stardust, yawning.
„Finni had a bad dream“, explains Wonderflower.
„Yesterday too. And the day before yesterday as well! I've been dreaming nothing but strange things all week now“, cries Finni. The unicorns come into the room.
„Oh dear!“, says Stardust and sits down on the other side of Finni's bed.
„Come, lie down again, I'll sing you a nice song once more.“
„And I'll conjure soothing, shimmering stars on the ceiling with my horn“, says Magicwhirl and already her horn begins to glitter softly.
„I'll be right back with a hot water bottle. That always helps“, says Wonderflower and trots to the door.
But where is Glitzerglück? The four friends look around, searching, and are puzzled. Glitzerglück is nowhere to be seen. Wunderblume shakes her head. She surely has one of her great ideas again! And sure enough: when Sternenstaub sings the fifth lullaby, Glitzerglück comes into the room with a little bag on his back. Finni has nestled into his pillow and cuddles with the hot-water bottle.
"Where have you been?" asks Zauberwirbel. Her horn shimmers in gentle turquoise tones and provides a lovely light in the room.
"I galloped quickly to the end of the big rainbow," puffs Glitzerglück. "There is the Garden of Dreams, and there I caught a few especially beautiful dream soap bubbles for Finni."
"Great!" delights Wunderblume. "That's really a good idea. For from the flowers in the Dream Garden come many soap bubbles with lovely dreams, which then drift to all those who are sleeping."
Sternenstaub also nods: "Yes, and because Finni's window is tightly closed, the dream soap bubbles couldn't fly to him."
She stands up, goes to the window and opens it a crack. Glitzerglück places the little bag carefully on Finni's duvet and unties the bow. "There, Finni, everything will be all right again now. Look, the first dream soap bubbles are already rising out of the little bag. So you can fall asleep completely at ease." The little rabbit sighs and closes his eyes. "You really are the best friends one could wish for!" he murmurs. With a happy smile on his face he falls asleep.
