Crafting: A bag full of heroes

Painting canvas bags is fun for all children! Set up a craft table and prepare a bag for each child. Decor: Go big, not small

Do you know exactly which hero your child admires most? Blue lights, construction helmets, tool belts, or toy cars from your own play box are great eye-catchers. Balloons and napkins with digger motifs instantly show: 'Heroes party here'. Children's firefighter helmets or police hats are not only decorative but can be used for immediate play.

Games: Hero power ahead

Instead of tin-can throwing: 'spray the cans.' For that, grab the garden hose or the perfectly suitable pull-and-splash bath toys. For skill and hammer strength you can prepare a nail-driving contest: drive a few nails slightly into a thick board beforehand. Then the little ones – watch their fingers and only under supervision – may go at the nails with a (rubber) hammer. Tons of fun for little heroes.

Food: Power boosters

Everyday heroes need plenty of food to fuel up. Set out a buffet with hot dogs or curried sausages, tasty sandwiches or wraps, homemade pizza and savory muffins filled with cheese and bacon. It'll be gone faster than the police allow.
