Every change begins with a first step, which is followed by many more. The goal of our journey, on which we move step by step, is greater sustainability in all areas of our thinking and actions.
Durable and inheritable – tangible sustainability
Already at the start of product development our designers think intensively about what appearance and play characteristics a product must have so that it gives children lasting joy and can also be "passed on" to the next generations.
And because especially with games the absence of a part of the play materials means the entire game can no longer be used, we set up an extensive Ersatzteil-Service set up.
Responsibility at HABA – given top priority in all areas of daily activity
This clear standard requires that we take responsibility for our corporate actions – and we do so in the areas of ecology, economy and social matters.
Responsibility is more than a word for HABA. It is reflected in everything we do – and has been for more than 85 years. Today the Habermaass family of companies is led in the third generation – and the small family business of back then has grown into a modern, internationally active family company. Headquartered in Bad Rodach, the company family unites several brands under one roof, including HABA and WEHRFRITZ – two founding corporate brands and several others. Much has changed in recent decades, but a sense of tradition and responsibility has remained and is passed down within the founding family from generation to generation.
HABA has been supporting children on their way into and through life for more than 85 years – with games and toys that challenge, encourage and above all bring great joy. For children and their families we develop and produce high-quality products – environmentally, energy- and resource-efficiently in all phases of the value chain. We achieve this on the one hand through highly efficient processes and production methods and on the other through highly motivated employees whose thinking and actions are also firmly anchored in the concept of quality. In particular the protection of natural resources, the long-term safeguarding of jobs, active environmental protection and careful data protection are very important to us. This is our understanding of social responsibility, which we are happy to assume.

Family friendliness:
At the center of HABA's corporate philosophy and the entire HABA family are children and their families. Therefore, it is particularly important to us to support our employees in balancing family and work. For our commitment to family-friendly personnel policies, we have been awarded the certificate for “audit berufundfamilie” awarded.
Data protection:
In the Habermaass corporate family, data protection is of high importance: there is continuous monitoring of the lawfulness of all data processing operations and documentation of data storage. More on this topic is described in detail in our data protection policy.
Safety:
Our products comply, in materials and workmanship, with all European and national regulations for the safety of toys and meet US standards.
Environmental and Energy Management:
Two areas in which our understanding of sustainability is clearly reflected. Our environmental management system is certified to the standard ISO 14001:2015. We constantly analyze the influences and impacts our company has on the environment and identify improvement potentials that we implement step by step. In addition, we have an energy management system that according to the standard ISO 50001:2018 is certified. With this, we aim to increase the energy efficiency of the Habermaass group of companies and optimize energy self-consumption.

Quality management:
We comply with the nationally and internationally recognized quality standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, which forms the basis for the in-house continuous improvement process. This enables us to continuously improve the quality of our products and services for the benefit of our customers.
