Magic happens in our game editorial team, because this is where first ideas become finished games that make children's eyes light up.
So that all children enjoy our games, our editors test and develop every game idea until it reaches HABA perfection. Of course, the children themselves are at the center here: they play along, try things out extensively, and tell us how we can make each game even better.
When we're not developing or testing new game ideas, we devote ourselves to selecting suitable materials for the games, designing great themes and titles, writing game rules, or exchanging ideas with our writers and illustrators.
But where do all our games come from?
The game idea
Some games originate from the imagination of our creative HABA editors, who have been delighting children for years.
However, a large portion of our HABA games comes from external sources. Many creative minds send us their game ideas and thus enable a great variety of games. Each submission is carefully reviewed and tested by us until the best ideas are selected.
At HABA, teachers, parents, retirees, hobby game inventors, professionals and even children have already submitted their games and their idea was taken up by our game editorial team. We are always open to new, original ideas, that excite us.

The design
A brilliant idea is undoubtedly an important step in the development of a game.
Equally important, however, is the implementation: detailed game cards, whimsical game pieces, creatively designed game boards ... The variety of design possibilities is limitless, and the submissions from illustrators that reach us at HABA throughout the year are just as varied.
We always welcome new, original illustration ideas, which inspire us.
