We are aware of our corporate responsibility to Respect for human and environmental rights aware of them and have anchored them in our code of conduct. We commit to respecting these rights in our own company and in our supply chains and to enable individuals affected by human rights and environmental violations to access remedy. We make no compromises when it comes to the fundamental requirements for safety and human rights.
Statement of principles
Complaints procedure
We place the highest value on the satisfaction of our customers, business partners and employees. Therefore, we have implemented a professional complaints management system., to detect violations and grievances concerning human rights and environmental risks and violations at an early stage and in a responsible manner and to take appropriate preventive and remedial measures.
The complaints mechanism is open to all and enables customers, business partners, employees or other persons to point out human rights and/or environmental risks as well as violations of human rights-related or environmental obligations that have arisen from the economic activities of the company's own business unit or a direct supplier.
Examples of violations of human rights and/or environmental risks may include:
Child labor
Discrimination and unequal treatment of employees
Bullying
All forms of slavery
Forced labor
Disregard for applicable occupational safety obligations (e.g. inadequate safety standards, lack of appropriate protective measures, insufficient training and instruction)
Withholding of an adequate wage
Improper handling, collection, storage and disposal of waste
Import and export of hazardous waste
The reporting person must state when reporting whether they wish to remain anonymous wishes to. However, a contact option is required, to allow follow-up questions and to be able to inform about the status of processing. Accordingly, it is recommended that the reporting person disclose their identity. Alternatively, a contact option may be provided that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about the person's identity. Without the consent of the reporting person, no personal information or circumstances that allow conclusions about the identity may be passed on to third parties, unless they are legally obliged to do so. The identity of the person(s) concerned will be treated confidentially.
To enable the report to be followed up, the notification must contain the following:
Type of the complaint or notice
The responsible person for the misconduct (if known)
Facts, that substantiate the misconduct
The affected company
Contact details of the reporting person
Complaints procedure
1. A report or complaint is received
A report or complaint is sent by email to lksg@habermaass.de reported.
2. Confirmation of receipt
The receipt of the report or complaint will be confirmed and documented to the reporter (if they disclose their identity) within seven working days.
3. Review & processing
The report or complaint is examined by the Human Rights Officer and responsibilities are assigned for further proceedings. In case of rejection, the reporting person (if they disclose their identity) will receive a justification.
4. Response
No later than after 3 months the reporting person (if they disclose their identity) will receive feedback on planned or implemented remedial measures.
5. Review & closure
The outcome achieved will be evaluated together with the reporting person (if they disclose their identity).
