By walking into the Lion's Den, the candidates hope to convince at least one of the 5 jury members and thus negotiate profitable deals. But the lionesses and lions — themselves successful entrepreneurs and media professionals — must be convinced first! Whoever succeeds can look forward to it!
Award-winning TV format
Since 2014, a large number of candidates have been seeking support from prominent investors. And the founders' show, which received the German Television Award in 2016 in the category "Best Factual Entertainment", has meanwhile achieved cult status with many viewers. The now ninth season of Die Höhle der Löwen also airs on VOX in prime time – Mondays at 8:15 PM.

Carsten Maschmeyer is one of Germany's best-known business personalities. Shortly after finishing school he discovered his passion for the finance sector and expanded the finance company he founded into an M-DAX group with 10,000 employees in record time. In addition, the Munich resident works as a speaker at universities, conferences or corporate events and shares his broad business expertise with others.
The native of South Tyrol Dr. Georg Kofler studied journalism and political science at the University of Vienna. He can look back on a long career in the media industry. Kofler initially worked as an advisor to the general director at the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) and later moved to the KIRCHGRUPPE in Munich. In 1989 Kofler launched the TV channel PROSIEBEN, which he developed into PROSIEBEN MEDIA AG and took public in 1997.
Nico Rosberg is known to a wide audience from motorsport. In 2016 he won the Formula 1 World Championship and ended his motorsport career. Born in 1985 in Wiesbaden, Rosberg is also an entrepreneur and investor in greener mobility.
Nils Glagau is owner and managing director of the family business Orthomol (micronutrients and dietary supplements). The trained ethnologist researched the culture of the Maya in Central America as well as Buddhism in Tibet and Nepal.
Since 2016, Ralf Dümmel has been an investor on Die Höhle der Löwen. He started his career more than 30 years ago at the trading company "DS Produkte". Under his leadership the family business developed into one of Germany's most successful trading houses.
In the 'Lion's Den', which is located in Cologne, five investor seats are occupied per episode. The successful show has been hosted from the beginning by Amiaz Habtu.
