We recommend carving with children from around 6 years old, when children can gain initial experience under adult supervision. As they get older, around 8 years old, children can already practice carving somewhat more independently, as long as they continue to be supervised by an adult. Here's how:
1. Find branches and saw them with the Terra Kids Saw to about the same length. You can simply saw off protruding branches. Thin branches can be easily cut with the all-purpose scissors.
2. After cutting you can excess wood with the Terra Kids wood rasps file off.
3. Next, cut a sufficient piece of the cord off and tie the branches together into a square.
4. Choose a photo or picture that you particularly like. To attach the picture to the frame, poke or punch small holes in the corners of the photo. Then thread short pieces of cord through the holes and tie the photo to the frame.
5. Finally tie another piece of the cord as a hanger to the upper two cut points of the branches. Done and ready to hang!
